AC and heating repair in Phoenix, AZ
When the AC quits in July it is not an inconvenience, it is a real problem. Ironwood Air & Heat repairs, replaces and maintains air conditioning and heating across the valley. Call (602) 555-0142 and we will tell you what is wrong before we tell you what it costs.
Jobs from around the valley
Real job photos outperform stock every time. Swap these as you go.

5-ton condenser swap — Ahwatukee
Twelve-year-old unit failed mid-July. Replaced same day, resized to the house rather than matching the old tonnage.

Ductwork reseal — Gilbert
Half the cooling was leaking into the attic. Sealed and rebalanced; the back bedrooms finally hold temperature.

Mini-split for a converted garage — Mesa
No practical way to reach it from the main system. Single-zone ductless unit, done in an afternoon.
Services
Everything Ironwood Air & Heat handles. If you do not see what you need, call (602) 555-0142 — we will tell you straight whether it is something we do.

Why people call us back
The things that actually matter when you are picking somebody you have never used before.
You get a person on the phone
Not a menu, and not a callback three hours later. Half the time we can narrow the problem down before anyone is dispatched.
The price is agreed before work starts
Diagnostic fee told to you up front. If we find something extra once we are in there, we stop and call rather than adding it to the bill.
We say when a repair is not worth it
If the system is old enough that you would be throwing good money after bad, you will hear that even though the repair is the easier sale for us.
No-cool calls go first
In summer a house with no cooling is a health issue, not an inconvenience. Those calls move to the front of the list.
About Ironwood Air & Heat
Ironwood Air & Heat has been working on air conditioning and heating in the valley for 14 years. We are not a call center with a logo on a van — the person who answers the phone is the person who will be scheduling the truck.
Most of what we do is repair, because most systems out here fail from heat and dust long before they fail from age. We carry the parts that actually break, which is why the majority of our calls are finished on the first visit instead of turning into a wait for an order.
We would rather tell you the honest answer and lose the ticket than sell you a system you did not need. That is most of where our repeat work comes from.

What customers say
Paste real reviews from the Google Business Profile. The placeholders show the length that reads best — short.
Came out the same afternoon we called. Told us it was a capacitor, showed us the burned one, and charged what he quoted.
They told us our unit had a few years left instead of selling us a new one. That is why we called them back for the tune-up.
Our AC died on a Saturday in July with a newborn in the house. Someone actually answered the phone. Fixed by evening.
Quoted three companies. Ironwood was the only one who explained why the sizing mattered instead of just handing over a number.
Showed up in the window they gave, put covers on their boots, cleaned up after. Small things but I noticed.
Second opinion after another shop said we needed a full replacement. It was a bad contactor. Saved us thousands.

Questions we get asked
Still not answered? Call (602) 555-0142 and ask a person.
How fast can you get out here?
Most calls get a same-day or next-day slot, and no-cooling calls go to the front of the list in summer. Call (602) 555-0142 and we will give you a real window, not a whole-day one.
How much does AC repair cost?
It depends entirely on what failed — a capacitor is a small job, a compressor is not. Typical repairs run $180 – $850. You get the number before any work starts, and the diagnostic fee is told to you up front.
Should I repair my AC or replace it?
Rough rule: if the unit is over ten to twelve years old and the repair is a large share of what a new system costs, replacing is usually the better spend. Under that, repair almost always wins.
Do you charge extra for evenings or weekends?
After-hours calls carry a higher rate, and we tell you what it is on the phone before we dispatch. Nothing gets added later.
Do you work on my brand?
We service every major brand of residential equipment. The parts differ, the diagnosis does not.
Why is my AC running but blowing warm air?
Usually a refrigerant leak, a failed capacitor, or a frozen coil from restricted airflow. Check whether the filter is clogged before you call anyone — that one is free to fix yourself.
How often should the system be serviced?
Once a year at minimum in this climate, ideally before summer. Dust loads here are hard on equipment and a tune-up catches the cheap failures while they are still cheap.
Do you offer financing?
On system replacements, yes. Approved credit, terms from 24 to 96 months — ask when you call and we will walk you through the options.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes — Arizona license ROC 331784, and we will send the certificate before work starts if you want to see it.
